Fall is almost here in the Lowcountry, and as temperatures start to cool, it's a great time of year to attend outdoor festivals. From celebrations of art and culture to food and live music, our real estate agents are here to share their favorite fall festivities in Coastal South Carolina.

MOJA Arts Festival - Charleston, SC

An annual celebration of Black arts and culture, MOJA Arts Festival returns to the city of Charleston from September 24 through October 4. The festival recognizes the city's unique connection to African American and global Black traditions and cultural legacies. It includes a wide range of dance, music, and theater performances, as well as visual arts, food, poetry, storytelling, and traditional crafts, at multiple venues across Charleston.

Boone Hall Pumpkin Patch - Mt Pleasant, SC

The Boone Hall Pumpkin Patch is a much-anticipated annual event in the community of Mount Pleasant, bringing a wide variety of fall fun to the Lowcountry since 1997. This year's festivities will stretch from September 26 to October 26, with attractions at Boone Hall Plantation & Gardens including:

  • Giant corn maze
  • Farm tractor tours
  • Mini-golf course
  • Circus and magic shows
  • Petting zoo
  • Live music performances

Beaufort Shrimp Festival - Beaufort, SC

Slated for October 2-3, the Beaufort Shrimp Festival spotlights the regional seafood that forms the heart of Lowcountry cuisine. This year marks the 32nd iteration of the celebration, which offers an opportunity to savor shrimp dishes from some of South Carolina's foremost restaurants and chefs. The Beaufort Shrimp Festival also includes live music and an arts-and-crafts market in scenic Chambers Waterfront Park.

Riverfront Revival - North Charleston, SC

Riverfront Revival is one of the Lowcountry's biggest music festivals. This year, the festival returns to Riverfront Park in North Charleston for two days of live music on a beautiful outdoor stage. This year's Riverfront Revival has an exciting lineup of roots, country, and rock performers, headlined by Darius Rucker and Gavin Adcock.

Historic Bluffton Art & Seafood Festival - Bluffton, SC

The 22nd Annual Historic Bluffton Arts & Seafood Festival takes place from October 9 to 18, highlighting the art, culture, and cuisine of the Lowcountry region. Festivities take place throughout Historic Old Town Bluffton, with many events centered along Calhoun Street and the nearby Bluffton Oyster Factory Park. Highlights include:

  • Juried Fine Art Show with over 100 artists
  • Curated Dinners by local chefs featuring regional seafood
  • Street Fest on October 17-18

Harvest Festival - Johns Island, SC

Address: 2662 Mullet Hall Rd., Johns Island, SC 29455

Johns Island hosts its annual Harvest Festival on November 7 this year, providing a great opportunity to enjoy some family-friendly fall fun. Gates open at 11 a.m. at Johns Island County Park, and the festival offers a full day packed with music and activities. Admission is just $10, and kids 12 and under can get in for free to enjoy: 

  • Live bluegrass bands
  • Hayrides and pumpkin carving
  • Local arts and crafts
  • Food including Carolina barbecue and kettle corn
